What is Keto?

When you eat a Standard American Diet, your body gets all of its energy from glucose (sugar and carbs).

A ketogenic diet is when your body starts running on what are called ketones instead of sugar.

Ketones are a type of acid formed when your body begins burning stored or dietary fat for fuel.

As a result, on a low carb diet, your body automatically begins burning fat.

Keto foods are centered around high-quality meats and healthy fats, eliminating all grains, sugars, and processed foods while still allowing limited amounts of low-carb veggies and fruits.

What is Clean Carb?

If you're looking to improve autoimmune illness, lose weight, increase your energy, or improve mental health, a Clean Carb or Animal-Based diet may be for you.

This is a properly constructed, nose-to-tail, animal-based diet which consists of high-quality meat, organs, fruit, honey, raw dairy (if tolerated) and eggs. You may also tolerate organic sweet potatoes and white rice.

As for vegetables, many plant foods don’t want to be eaten and they protect themselves by producing defense chemicals that can harm our health. For this reason the Animal-Based or Clean Carb diet avoids plant foods like leaves, stems, roots, and seeds (nuts, grains, legumes).
